This week, Jim provides another update on his ongoing battle with mental health and adjusting to his new life. Then, he talks about the hard stuff. The grim reality that he, like many in his situation, have considered suicide.
Jim reveals how one of the true hardships of being a quadriplegic - the stripping of all privacy and control - has affected him by taking us through a day in the life of a quadriplegic. Life is not all sunshine and roses, you have to have bad days so you know when you are in the good days, and right now we are living through the bad days.
This time, Joe shares the story of the accident from his perspective. The perspective where he stayed at school and didn't see Jim until weeks after the accident. He talks about the emotions he went through, and fears what may have happened had Jim's accident turned out differently. These are hard emotions to face, and even harder to put into words. Joe does an amazing job of sharing the hard emotions we all have to face from time to time.
